Those are exceptions, and the way the scheme has been devalued without advance (or any) notice is a scandal. It is a BA subsidiary and I find it surprising that BA do not take complaints about Air Miles seriously.
Yes, I agree with this, I like most here, was a collector when I didnt fly much, but then when they were devalued about 18 months ago I just let them sit. I got the same mail shot last week and it did make me look at the site, and I ended up picking up an easter weekend flight to oslo for ~1000 miles pp, (10k BA miles) so all is not [yet] lost with regards to airmiles.

My attitude to them is I will collect them if I get them handed to me on a plate, but will not actively do anything equivalent of a palmiers run, or a life insurance dance to get them
