The good news is HNL is one of my least favorite Hawaiian destinations, so LIH, OGG, are generally served by better aircraft. I'll take a MAX plane any day.
Hawaii is a ‘bargain’ destination relatively vs EU/Asia/South Latam. So those ‘better’ aircraft will be flying to those other destinations.
