Training Example: Using “Welcome Back”
When greeting guests, the phrase “Welcome back” should be delivered warmly and sincerely. Think of it as shorthand for a much more elaborate welcome, such as: “Welcome back, Your Royal Highness, your room is ready.”. The goal is not the literal words, but the feeling they create: a sense of honor, recognition, and readiness. Guests should feel that their visit is special and that the hotel has prepared for them personally.
In Europe, with a fancy word, this is often referred to as hospitality.
