When I got to the lounge, I did ask again and the price changed to S$2,384.
While short-term it might make sense to drop prices to fill seats, if passengers know that the price is certain to drop substantially if they just wait, then EK yields medium and long term will suffer. But on lucky occasions you can get exceptional deals.
