I seem to remember Singapore Airlines offer a cake for free for your birthday (I was only Gold). You just order a few days before. CX should at least offer it to Diamonds for free.

Also, regarding desserts in general on CX, it’s very poor on regional J with only Haagen Dazs. I’m sure other airlines do a proper dessert in J with ice cream. Long haul is still ok.
