Underwhelmed
Just back from a 2-night stay at the property.
I had stayed here previously in November 2023; I think that stay might have been booked through Expedia.
Now have Bonvoy Platinum status and booked through the app - booked 2 rooms for a total of 3 people.
From about a month ago, app showed upgrade on both rooms to balcony rooms.
Two days before arrival, reservation changed back to original booking - upon arrival, no upgrade given.
No longer offered welcome drink (definitely had one in 2023)
No acknowledgement of status, other than being handed a card to select amenity
Chose breakfast - which was given to all 3 guests - but only consisted of buffet (no menu offered for ala carte)
Bathroom amenities are no longer Ferragamo, but now Trussardi brand.
Rooms still seem to be in good shape
Asked for and received 1:30 pm late check-out (but when returning at 12:30 room cards needed reprogrammed)
Front desk staff seemed friendly, but not especially helpful
Overall, I think I might start exploring other Rome properties for any future visits.
