With respect to Bali, 3 nights should be sufficient but when planning your itinerary be prepared for immense amounts of traffic.
I was there in September and if you travel anywhere outside of the Nusa Dua area, you just need to expect to be stuck in a jam. I stay at the Courtyard in Nusa Dua and in Seminyak on different occasions recently and found the CY Seminyak a real pain to wait for a car and to get out of once the car arrived. If you plan to go visiting the sites, I would hire a driver before you arrive. They will be waiting for you at the hotel reception in the morning and will stay with you for the whole date

Bangkok is either a short stay like you're doing, or a long stay. You can do all the sites and try out lots of different food for 3 nights. However if you want to venture further out and visit somewhere like Ayutthaya (the old historical capital) or the Amphawa Floating Market it will take a whole day.

I have no opinion on Krabi/Phuket so I'll leave others to tell you about it.
Thank you - the 2 SIN hotels were suggestions from a friend so will just pick one of them - I did look at Raffles, but we're not typical high-end hotel people. MBS is a blip that I'm trying to talk Mrs RC out of. Ironically we've both been there before, at least for work events up on the deck, but if a night there is the worst I have to compromise on to keep the peace then I'll deal with it.

As for Bali, I've got a booking for the Ayodya Palace in Nusa Dua that looks decent enough and comes with access to their lounge. Crazy cheap for what it looks to offer, but I guess that's Bali for you.

I wasn't planning on booking anything this early, but the prices plus cashback made it irresistible!

Thailand next... probably if there is a good new year sale!
