Do we know what the purpose of storing these aircraft is beyond addressing engine-related issues and/or how the specific frames are chosen for storage? Do the stored frames have engine issues themselves and UA needs to wait for parts to become available? Or are they cannibalizing parts from these frames to use on other more valuable ones (i.e., the PW ERs that can fly long haul)?
