B-LXO tail strike on Nov 26, 2025

This bird was flying from SGN to HKG in the evening of Nov 26, when it veered sideways upon landing on runway 07C. The crew then immediately performed a go-around, but resulted in a tail strike. More details can be found here: https://simpleflying.com/cathay-paci...-kong-landing/.

It is still parked at HKG for inspection. I sincerely hope that it will not be declared as beyond repair, like CZ's B787-9 incident earlier this year. B-LXO is only 4.8 years old (delivered in March 2021). Losing it would be disastrous for CX. I also wonder what would happen to the pilots.
