Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Revisit 1: Superking booked, upgraded to Superking... with minifridge.
Revisit 2: Superking with minifridge booked, after MrsFr and tame DM discussion upgraded to a non-executive twin double room in the "new" extension (no suites available).

How are the rooms?
"fine", nothing special in the superking room, although poor lighting.
The Twin doubles also fine. Plenty of space for travel stuff, sockets with USB-A chargers plentiful across the room.
The older room starting to look tired, while the room in the extension opened 3-4 years ago still looks fresh.

I found the restaurant quite expensive. While the food was good it wasn't excellent, but a main course and drink each approached £70.
Other guests poorly disciplined children running up and down the corridor. but not the Hotel's fault.
Only 1 drink voucher for us as a couple.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
I paid around £130/night with breakfast for 2 weeks in advance for the first visit in the Superking room, but <£100/night for the second visit. Returning as it's convenient for family reasons.
