Holiday Inn London Kensington (revisit)

What is your IHG One Rewards status? Platinum

Were you happy with the hotel/stay? yes

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Standard double, upgraded to Junior suite room. Though don't know what made it a suite - small, only a single comfortable chair.

How are the rooms?
For a junior suite, small. Poor lighting. Probably was originally designed as a normal room, or a suite for single occupancy.

What was your welcome gift?
1 carton of water, OJ, and coke in the fridge. Generic re-useable welcome card, no 1/2 bottle of red that was normally provided.
1 drink voucher each.

What was good and what was bad?
Good

Breakfast is good, and realistically priced at £17 each.

Bad
Floor mounted foot trap for the unwary at night in the narrow walkway on the far side of the bed (see pic)
Bar service was slow. Waitress/waiter service only, they decline to serve at the bar.
poor room lighting
lifts are small, not enough of them and outdated. One was certified for 6, with 5 adults in one the alarm went off.

Value for $ or One Rewards Points? Would you return?
Returning as it's a convenient location for us. I used around 28000 points, with a 15% promo.
