In another USA hotel, one Sunday afternoon when the lounge was open for key card access but wasn't staffed, someone held a birthday party for a toddler with about thirty guests. They moved the lounge furniture and left behind dirty dishes and leftover food, including part of a cake with the kid's name written in icing. This was a hotel that has some very nice function rooms of various sizes, but the birthday party people were apparently too cheap to pay to rent such a room when they could use the lounge for free.
Or maybe they booked a function room and the hotel screwed up and told them to move the party to the lounge?
Nah, you're probably right!
