I'm not sure what other Chase benefits you are thinking of, but NO monthly/annual credits given by Chase or other CCs or Chase/Amex Offers carve out taxes and tips. They have always credited against the total amount charged.
Someone else made a comparison to the $100 Edit credits, but that's given by the hotel. And that's not Chase specific. That's true whether the credit is part of a hotel package through CC or a travel agent.
I'm making the point because we see a lot of DPs posted here that later turned out to be untrue because people make assumptions based on what seemed logical to them or use fuzzy math.
