McKinsey did me (and probably many others) a favour. I still have BA status for now but have switched a lot of my spending to other OneWorld carriers, particularly on JAL and CX, where the longhaul service is far superior to BA, not to mention the excellent CX lounges. I now actively avoid BA to and from Tokyo, unless it is a code share flight operated by JAL, even via Frankfurt or Helsinki. And it's not about bashing BA (I have spent a lot of money flying with them over the last 3 decades and will still use them for Euro hops) but their onboard product for those longhaul flights is dated and not value for money once you have seen what other OneWorld carriers offer.
