Last time I did this, the website showed a 100k mixed cabin award with saver Polaris on the overwater and saver Y on the domestic leg (and there is XN on the IAD-LAX flight, anyway). But I can't get it to do that on the app or website for this itin. Will give them a ring but figured I would ask experiences first.
awards are now all have married segment logic, so if it is not available on the site in an O-D search, it’s almost certain an agent won’t be able to price that way. It’s possible IN available on the single segment but not as a XXX-LAX-MEL itin.
