As a Hyatt Globalist, I am also considering their only current property in Osaka, the new budget brand "Caption." But the Caption is materially more expensive on points as a Cat. 2 (and my day is "peak" on the Hyatt calendar so even more expense), so I'm not sure it's worth the extra money for the Caption. Thoughts?
Comfort Shinsaibashi location is fine. IHG Garner are also international chain options. Marriott has a few, but not cheap. Caption is way overpriced. There are also a lot of newer Japanese hotels similar to the Comfort. No need to splurge on the western chains unless you have points/meaningful status etc.
