Last time I did this, the website showed a 100k mixed cabin award with saver Polaris on the overwater and saver Y on the domestic leg (and there is XN on the IAD-LAX flight, anyway). But I can't get it to do that on the app or website for this itin. Will give them a ring but figured I would ask experiences first.

You can not mix saver and non-saver awards. If you can not get the XN/IN combo, doubt the agent will either, but it is worth a try. Worst case is a multiple ciry award and pay for the domestic separately.
