As per title, is it possible to check in an additional bag during a layover on a pure SAS itinerary? If yes, do the regular check-in/baggage-drop deadlines apply?

To add more information, I am considering having a friend meet me at the airport (OSL) to hand me a piece of luggage while I am connecting to another flight. I would then need to check it in as it is too big to have as a carry-on. I suppose this is not an issue, as Norwegian airports are quite used to passengers having to clear customs and re-check luggage on a international->domestic transfer, but wanted to see if anyone has any experience with this, also on domestic->domestic and domestic->international transfers.
