Can I) call and change just one segment of an international award to IN? My wife is on IAD-LAX-MEL, booked in ON. When I check into refaring the whole award, I get a 300K Polaris award one-way (LOL). If I look at just LAX-MEL, I see a 100K saver Polaris award... it's the domestic segment that is causing the high fare I believe.

Last time I did this, the website showed a 100k mixed cabin award with saver Polaris on the overwater and saver Y on the domestic leg (and there is XN on the IAD-LAX flight, anyway). But I can't get it to do that on the app or website for this itin. Will give them a ring but figured I would ask experiences first.
