We usually use our BA Amex premium plus companion voucher to fly in club world but for an upcoming trip we don’t currently have enough Avios so were resigned to premium economy. But I’ve just gone to book and it’s giving me an option to use cash to pay some of the fare alongside the companion voucher and Avios. It’s not just the taxes, it’s giving me the options of different combinations of Avios and cash like you get when you go to just book normally without a voucher. I’m sure this wasn’t previously possible. I appreciate it’s not great value but was wondering if this is a recent change or if I’m doing something wrong or if it was just wouldn’t let me do it when I get to the end? Or are they just charging me an additional whatever it would cost to purchase the shortfall in Avios 🤔
