I recently flew to ORD with AF in Y and the Ulti recognition was really good thanks to the great AF staff. And for sure, it's when you fly long-haul Y that you appreciate the most the extra attentions. There were only a handful of free seats in the plane and I had one of those very few empty middle seat near me, The purser asked me several times during the flight if I wanted something from the front (champagne, wine, espresso, snacks) and that made this flight very pleasant despite being in Y. What contributed to this was also that it was an A350 (I just love this plane) having Starlink.
The food was of course average. In total honesty, the main lunch was quite good but it's impressive to see how the tray has shrunk over the years in Y. The 2nd meal (Bon appétit bag) is a total disgrace as already reported many times.
