Wondering if anyone has had this happen. I had an Iberia redemption booked via BA using a 241 voucher. I cancelled it ages ago - filled in the BA online refund form around three months before the flight. The booking immediately changed to “cancelled” and the website has been saying “we’ll be in touch” (or something similar) ever since.

But still no Avios or cash back (241 will have expired by now so that’s okay) and just the original automatic email. The has now actually flown, which is slightly alarming given that I cancelled so far in advance.

Has anyone had a cancellation like this just get stuck? Is there a particular team or method that works to push these through? I don’t want BA to turn around and say “well the flight has now operated” when the request was submitted ages ago.
