More than the "who can do it faster" rule, I am annoyed by the frequency of changes to what LATAM still claim is a "programme". For me, it has rather become something like a loose collection of rules and benefits which tend to be changed every couple of months.

I still cannot find any information on the new rules for 2026 quoted above which allegedly will apply in not much more than a month from today. If privileges for their most loyal flyers will really be subject to further reductions and mileage earning will turn even poorer, trying to keep status in the future does not really make sense, unless you obtain it as a by-product anyway.

While I totally understand that airlines, first of all, are there to make money, a frequent flyer scheme also implies a certain consistency and transparency. And these two key aspects are dearly missed with LATAM nowadays.
