Looking for community feedback:

I have seen more and more service dogs on flights lately.

I am highly allergic to dogs. I breakout in hives. What's the protocol when an uncaged service dog is sitting directly next to me on the floor in business class? Can I request to the FA to change seats? What happens if I am unable to get a new seat?

Has anyone else faced a similar situation?
