I am going to be in the same predicament next year when am still UA Gold but also AC 25K for 2026, and since I will likely fly way more AC than UA next year, I am curious as to what the best strategy is (though will only try to accrue on one programme i.e. AC):
- for AC flights, use 25K and credit to AC then show UA Premier Gold at lounges
- for other *A flights, use UA Premier Gold at check-in and lounges then get a gate agent to change the FFP to AC?
These things work in theory, but not well in practice. Using UA*G with AC25k on BP used to work fine, but has been running into issues in recent years. Also, check the new AC program - UA may be the better choice to credit AC flights. It all depends what you book - flew BOS-YYZ-DEL in P last week and earned a ton more on UA than I would have earned crediting this to my AC25k
