Alright award travel gurus - complex initnerary stopover question

Hi All:

Need some advice. Right now I'm booked on a *A award. Here's the current itinerary:

LAX-FRA-MUC (on LH F LAX-FRA and LH C FRA-MUC)

(6 day stop)

MUC-FRA-NRT (on LH C MUC-FRA and NH F FRA-NRT)

(overnight 19 hours in NRT)

NRT-LHR-SFO-LAX (on NH F NRT-LHR, UA F LHR-SFO-LAX)

First off, massive kudos to the UA Int'l reservations agent in Seattle who worked on this itinerary for 75 minutes to get me this far (loving every minute of it BTW - he saw it as a "challenge") .

The question I have is, I want to add a segment during the 6 day stop from MUC-LHR and if that works then I'd like to instead fly LHR-FRA and continue my journey. The award travel agent I spoke with tonight said no go because that counts as two stopovers, but I'm not sure that is right.

BTW, in case you're curious why the funky itinerary, one of my goals here was to fly all 3 *A carriers in F that I haven't flown in F before - LH, SQ and NH. Unfortunately there was no SQ availability on their JFK-FRA flight, so I wound up going with LH non-stop instead. Oh well. There's always next time.
