You just need to put his QRPC membership number on his flight ticket to earn the Avios. However, he will not earn status points / Qpoints on family account so he will always be Burgundy on QRPC.
If he's a frequent traveller on other oneworld airlines, then it would make more sense to join / use another FFP to earn oneworld status.
Thanks.. He is what I don't understand though. Before adding him as a family member, I created a QRPC account for him thinking that it would like BA, linking 2 accounts together. However, when I tried to add him as a family member, it wasn't possible. I chatted with an agent who told me I can only add him if I delete his existing QRPC which I did. Then I added him as a family member and it worked.
So now should I create a QRPC for him?
