Correct, so long as it's on a 014 ticket and operated by a *A carrier it'll generate SQC but that probably makes it sound easier than it is. Generally, to ticket with AC, you'll need at least one AC operated trans oceanic flight and most likely one AC fare on the ticket. TA issued tickets might be able to get around some of that but direct carrier issued tickets can be even more restrictive around what they will actually issue.

Lots of AC fares these days carry restrictions on combinability. Some will restrict which carrier's fares they can be combined with and lots will state that no more than two international fares are permitted in the combination. I've seen these types of restrictions most often on discount (P, Z) fares.

The SQC rules are likely more permissive than what it's practically possible to actually ticket.
