I've been fortunate to regularly have had the Hibiki 17 and 21. Strictly from a taste perspective is this 100 anniversary considered ummm ummmm more yummy? and how much more tasty? I have a few bottles of 17 / 21 left from pre hype pricing days that i am going through.
I'd only try to get the 100 anniversary to try and drink it - not to resell
I like the 100th anniversary much better than the 17 but not better than the 21. But it’s also hard to compare the 21 with it. Both different directions in terms of flavor. 21 is richer, darker. 100th anniversary is fruitier and lighter. Both have a long finish.
That said, because they’ve been selling so much of the 100th anniversary, secondary prices have fallen below retail on auction.
