We also booked a second room for our son who will be joining us 25-27 December. I booked a standard rate for us (and we'll get the Diamond breakfast), and a breakfast rate for our son. Is this actually necessary, or would they give him breakfast with a standard rate since his room is in the Diamond member's name? Or is this a YMMV situation?
Per the rules. Just your room. In real life, some will extend it to your second room some will not. In my experience I would say more do extended it than don't when I have booked two rooms. I would say around 70-30%. The way I approach it is that I book a standard room but will pay for the breakfast if it isn't given. If you don't like the uncertainty give the hotel an email.
