I wouldn’t do a hidden city ticket - not only the risks mentioned as it is against policy, but if there is a delay or impact to your flight, which happens more than it should, they will try and rebook you to the ticketed destination and not your hidden city. What would you do? Insist on needing to connect in a particular city?
