In October flight encountered rolling delays at a smaller NY Airport with a total delay in excess of 4 hours. The 2 ground staff girls were really great with trying to get me to standby on every earlier flight but all efforts failed.
I was provided with $48 in meal vouchers (which honestly didn't go that far) and they re booked my new connection into negative coach space to try to get me home same night even calling MSP to let them know to hold the aircraft since I was rebooked on one of the last flights of the night with an early departure track record.
I made my 6 min rebooked MSP connection luckily. They said the delay was out of their control so no cash compensation, refused miles but I was offered a $150 e credit by customer care.
