That would be incredibly stupid. Vast majority of people outside Flyertalk won't pay to chase status, but having status can make them book more flights with AFKL. This survey doesn't simulate that.

I gotta say that the speed at which AFKL decided to ruin their product + FB is astonishing. I only joined less than two years ago and I was very impressed from the day 1 (especially coming from LHG), which lead to quite a bit of my money landing with AFKL. In that little time they managed to convince me that it's probably time to cash out and go back to flying direct on OS. And not because OS got any better...
