Did I mention QR? I said MOST airlines. AF does not do them, KL does not do them, last I flew EK they did not do them. Some of the Chinese airlines DO do them.
Why do they take so long? It is not the Turks and their Credit Cards, those process easily. Generally the agents are presented with weird middle eastern credit cards with almost useless Priority Pass or Dragon Pass or whatever, and then when the pax are told that they will have to pay $140 or whatever for their family of four, they freak out, not understanding that they have an almost useless PP membership. Or the agents have no clue as to what the various status are, and look for documentation or ask all their colleagues who are as clueless as they are. Or they just look to rip people off. A classic IGA trick is, lets say that you are traveling with an airline where you are allowed a guest, but you are 3 people. You say, "I'll use my Priority Pass for my son". Next thing you know they will admit you based on your card and charge your priority pass TWO entries, and give a hundred different excuses as to why they have to do this. Funny thing is that Priority Pass does not agree with any of the reasons. They do this A LOT.
