Unfortunately BA has decided to discontinue the subscription to German customers; probably related to the legal struggles of Lufthansa regarding their miles being considered a currency (and why LH / MM has to throw in some random non-sense into their mileage packages).
The quirks of German bureaucracy and their consequences never cease to amaze...
