Have a ticket booked via AY that, due to a cancellation, has a rerouting that now includes an AS connection. When trying to view my booking on the AS website, I get this error message "We can't display your reservation right now, but we're here to help. Text with an agent now: 82008." Is it free to text that number from an overseas carrier? If not, is there any other way to access my booking for seat selection? Thanks in advance!
I've had this happen and got helpful advice on this thread so happy to pass it along. You just need to contact AS and they'll fix the reservation so it shows. The issue as it was explained to me is that their system has a tough time keeping up with changes, so it needs a (very quick) update by an agent. I called and it was fixed by the time I finished explaining what I was seeing. I should add, I don't know if there's a charge for a text from outside the US, but at least in my experience it didn't take long to fix.
