(Note special effects gunshot sounds circa 1972 when film was made, or maybe actual gunshot sounds circa 1945 when film events took place?)
(The line was ad-libbed: “Yes, the famous line "Leave the gun, take the cannoli" from The Godfather was improvised by actor Richard Castellano. The original script only called for him to say, "Leave the gun" after the murder scene. Castellano added the second half of the line after his real-life wife, actress Ardell Sheridan, who also appeared in the film, reminded him to pick up the cannolis earlier in the day.”)
