I personally don't care that much where I connect, but in my mind FRA has dropped to customer service levels I see in JFK. Lines form when they should not, slowing everyone down and no one can organize it any better. I actually have better experience when connecting in EWR. The bus from A to C I can now handle sleep walking!
As someone that now connects via EWR frequently I agree -- that shuttle service works quite well and have never had to wait that long.
Many things do not go well at EWR (looking at you TSA, OTG) -- but this service works well...
