I know this is very challenging and everything would need to go right (so hopefully no delay in the inbound flight), but would you have some directions here (like a map, picture or vid) where to locate the baggage recheck and how to get the fastest to terminal 3 (I believe our Delta flight is departing there) ? We would need to go through TSA again. Just want to be prepared as much as possible.

Many thanks for your help !
Welcome to Flyertalk!

There is baggage recheck right after you pick up the bags. There are signs and it’s pretty obvious.

Last time I flew I to D at LAX, I walked from TBIT (the international terminal) to T5 (wasn’t on DL). It wasn’t that big of a deal. There’s an airside walkway or you can walk outside. Either way works. Again, there are signs and it’s not hard. It’s maybe a 5-10 min walk.
