just completed 5 nights here, my views. Hard product very dated, the AC was a nightmare to work needing multiple presses to get it to do anything. Lights were controlled from an iPad like device by the bed. Bed itself was a little on the hard side. I was upgraded as I stayed via amex (zero hyatt status) recognition was good. The upgrade was to one of the end of hall rooms which was 2sqm bigger by being end of the hall. It had 2 windows, one the regular facing one, and once facing the WA. Whilst it was marginaly bigger I didnt like the layout as much as the regular rooms, on top of which the door was directly by the emergency exit, which the staff used to bring up things like food deliveries and house cleaning equipment so there was frequently noise of in and out. Interestingly if you had do not disturb on your door they'd hand a notice on it saying that after 24 hours, whether you had it on the door or no they were coming in to check on you. Makes me thing a few bodies have been discovered there!
As mentioned location is great with a direct walkway into the BTS walkway -though it's an up down up situation through a shopping mall. My last stay was the Kimpton Ma-Lai which was much nicer particularly in room design. In two weeks im at the Waldorf Astoria which is in a different league followed by the Dusit Thani
