KTI-SIN

10:11AM-1:10PM (+1)

1:35 in air

Singapore air had a very orderly boarding process and as business class passengers we were among the first to board.

I was able to select the throne seats for us at booking.

The sheer amount of space was impressive. However, as anticipated the footwell was small. It was also sloped which was weird.

The entry to the seat was also a little too narrow

While on the ground we had a choice of PDB. I choose an apple juice.

On the ground, menus were distributed and our orders were taken. The FAs also did a warm towel service on the ground.

Both legs use the same menu so I could see the ex-Sin ootions

and the choices we had.

The live tv was nice so I could watch SNF.

After a quick taxi we were Singapore bound.

My wife’s delicious meal.

and my pretty good dim sum.

I set up the bed to test what it would be like on a red eye.

About 30 minutes before arrival service concluded as we began our descent.

After a super smooth immigration experience we were en route to our hotel, the Crowne-Plaza attached to the airport.

We had phenomenal views of the jewel from the train between terminals.

When we reached the hotel it was about 1:30pm and we were informed the Jewel Wing room I had booked was not currently available so instead we were upgraded to a larger king in the older side. I wasn’t sure if this was actually an upgrade, but we wanted to drop our stuff and explore Singapore so we accepted it.

While large, the room was dated.

The ac was restricted which also made it hard to get comfortable.

The bathroom was big but nothing special.

We got a bolt and headed into town.

For an over priced drink at Marina Bay Sands.

We had a good afternoon exploring Little India, The Raffles, and Old Airport Road hawker market. Unfortunately we didn’t have cash or a debit card on us so we couldn’t pay for things at the local hawker stakes so we headed back to The Jewel which had more touristy stalls which took credit card.

The laksa was better than the noodles.

As the sun set we enjoyed more of the jewel.

Before having a good Tonkatsu night cap.

Up next. SIN-SFO!
