I would say it's incredibly unlikely to find availability and you will almost certainly have to reposition out of both DEN and ICN. Seeing some availability in coach on LAX-ICN KE flights on certain dates, but not in business. DL awards to/from North America are O&D based and vary from market to market and they no longer have separate levels for partner metal. Award prices on LAX-ICN are not the same as something like LAX-TYO and you can't just "stitch" together awards and get the same price. Low-level D1 awards on LAX-ICN are currently 185K miles one-way before Amex 15% discount, so that's what an award on KE metal would be as well if you can ever find any dates with availability in biz (awards on partner metal do not qualify for Amex discount). Awards on partner flights that do not touch North America are still fixed (for example, biz awards between Asia and EU are currently 80K miles one-way).
