So yeah, I don't find it surprising if someone even with 20 platinum-cards in a row did not get any lifetime tier.
And after the change-over, the theory time to reach LTG is 25 years of platinum (2M/80k). Those who didn't make the cut before, will probably have an even slower climb towards the LT-tiers. FFlash and me would be looking at 10 more years as plats in the revbased system to reach LTG, putting us at 25+ years to LTG. LTP not physical possible to reach unless public healthcare gets in on Putler's donor-organ business.
Or put this way - I am likely to reach Lifetime Diamond (top tier) in EB in 5 years. If I took all those flights with AY instead, where I have a headstart of 1,2M avios, I might reach 75% of AY LTG...
lets see if LTD is still a thing in 5 years since I doubt EB will be around there...
But ay LT is tough... I managed to do LT platinum at AF in 4 years vs I have been lumo and Plat with ay for some tears and I am only 1/5 of LTG... after next years LUMO run I will be only 45% of LTG 🤣🤣 would need 3-4X lumo to reach LTG and propably 6x to LTP but perhaps I will just start to optimize status on AY to every 2-3 years to maximize value and gesr towards a LT status as I would love to have a OW and a ST LT status when I stop working in 62 years 🤣🤣🤣
