Do you have other evidence to verify your income, such as a tax return filed in another country, pay stubs or bank statements?
in the previous round, i recalled reading at least 1 DP where the tax returns do not match the declared income because of legitimate reasons like a significant pay raise this year, but citi refused to take the pay stubs. i do not know what happened to the account(s)

Living abroad does NOT exempt you from filing, even if you qualify for the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion (FEIE) or Foreign Tax Credit (FTC) — those reduce or eliminate tax, but you still must file to claim them. ---
i think OP meant the other way around, and certain US visas dont require people to pay taxes in the US
