Hyatt is missing from a lot of places. I've talked repeatedly about how suitable a better Swiss presence would be for the Hyatt portfolio... And as someone who loves alpine climates, more properties just about anywhere would be welcome.
Hyatt has a decent presence in Park City, and it used to have a hotel and some timeshares in Aspen / Snowmass (well, just Snowmass) before they were offloaded to Coraltree.
I'm pretty familiar with the Bow Valley (Banff) and I'm actually building a house right outside the national park; that region just has a dearth of hotels in general, especially upscale or part of a chain. There's the Fairmont Banff Springs, and the Rimrock that Accor also recently added, but beyond that basically nothing. There's a Moxy, I guess, and there used to be a Holiday Inn in Canmore but it left IHG a couple years ago. I've actually talked to some local developers and brought up the lack of guest accommodation as a notable market opportunity.
Jackson Hole and Whistler could definitely use a Hyatt, even if it's a Hyatt Place.
