We are 2 adults and one youth son with few bags. I looked at rates for intermediate sedan or SUV and the rates between gas car and ones that says electric are not very different. I may save lots of money on gas right? But I am nervous about electric car as I have never tested or driven any electric car before. For someone who doesn;t know about anything about electric car or or how to charge , electric car rental is not a good idea right? I have AARP with Avis that means if I rent cheapest car, I will get an upgrade? They do have compact or economy car for bit cheaper but only if I will get upgrade.
I only have regular preferred member, and used to have Avis Plus membership but expired and I don't have Amex platinum or visa infinite cards.
Also we plan to visit Miami for first time for about 3 days after a week in Orlando, should we take the same rental car or drop off at MCO and take the train to Miami? I haven't checked the rate if I choose Miami drop off.
