2026 Latam Pass Changes

Received this today:

We want to let you know that the LATAM Pass program will have some important updates:

Starting January 1, 2026, the additional 50% accumulation of Qualifying Points for purchasing tickets in Full Fare, Premium Economy, and Premium Business cabins will no longer be an automatic category benefit. Instead, it will become an eligible benefit within one of the LATAM Pass Bonus options. This means that to receive extra points when traveling in these fares, you will need to select it as a benefit directly within the LATAM Pass App.

Also, starting January 1, 2026, for Platinum members, access to Partner Lounges will be limited exclusively to the category holder, without the option to bring a companion. However, in LATAM Lounges, companion access will remain available for Platinum members.
I can't find any clarification if by choosing the benefit to receive 50% more QP will it only apply to the next flight? The rest of the year? Also I can't find if it will a benefit to redeem at 6,000 points, 23,500, or more.
I always buy Full tickets for the flexibility and the 50% extra QP earnings, but this change in conjunction with the previous upgrade priority change makes me think I will demote Latam to my 3rd choice.
