For those planning, do consider the options that the size of the U.S. provides. Many venues will have several major airports and a large number of cities near to the actual locale. So wherever is drawn, there are likely to be reasonable options to get to and stay in the area. Since there won't be repeat venues, there will be travel involved if you are attending more than one match or wish to be in the area for the matches. As many are suggesting, picking an area with decent connections, and that interests you on its own, as a starting point is an excellent idea for reserving now.

For reference (direct flight times, connection are likely): YYR-MIA and BOS-MEX are both about 6 hours. Staying within groups, YVR-LAX is 3 hours, BOS-MIA and MCI-MEX is about 4 hours.
