That may have been true in the beginning, but these days many airlines are requiring frequent flyer membership at minimum as a prerequisite for internet access with Starlink. UA, AF come to mind.
That said, in those cases, the frequent flyer number doesn't need to be tied to the booking. Is it confirmed that's the case with CX?
