I do think these changes are overdue, as you shouldn't ever earn top tier status through simply buying a CC. That being said, if Delta can listen to feedback and throw Million Milers some extra perks like upgrade priority or better guaranteed status, Hilton should be able to. It shouldn't be easier for someone to essentially match status and get the same perks as a LTD.

It's not like we're asking for the world, just tired of getting nickel and dimed with things like losing free breakfast/coffee or having to pay for upgrades when the rooms are available and the hotel is empty. It wouldn't be hard to throw a couple of the Diamond Reserve perks like guaranteed late checkout or an upgrade certificate to LTDs. And yes, I fully understand I'm not LTD yet, but will be mid-next year at this rate.
